Chemin

2000, 5 video monitors, 4 colour video programmes, 4 channels of sound, printed text

200 x 400 x 160 cm

Translation of printed text:

Chemin refers to the highway that passed my childhood home . I spent a lot of time walking along the gravel shoulders of this road waiting for the school bus, visiting friends, delivering newspapers, etc. I always wondered what it would be like to follow the highway to its northern apogee. I could never imagine what I would find at the end of the road. I could only think of the seemingly infinite amount of time that it would take to get there.
