buildings don't move, but humans move through them

2018, 3 video projectors, 3 black and white HD video programmes, silent, 3 acrylic screens,

each screen: 120 x 70 x 1 cm

 

Three rotoscoped sequences of humans walking around modern buildings are rear-projected onto three screens. The sequences each show a sketch of a monument of mid-twentieth century architecture. Le Corbusier's friary of Sainte-Marie La Tourrette in France, Wallace Harrison's Egg performing arts venue in Albany New York and the Stora Enso headquarters designed by Alvar Aalto in Helsinki are featured on each of the screens.

 

Exhibited as part of the Colloque Cybercorporéités: subjectivités nomades en contexte numérique.
